I wouldn't be concerned about the lack of flower buds at this time as it's early. This A. would be a problem in late April or May but not now. It's typical for lemon and other citrus to drop their leaves during the winter months. The leaf drop is more than likely due to the warm days and cool nights we had in January and February. Again, nothing to lose any sleep over. The undissolved fertilizer pellets is an issue with the pellet itself. The age the pellet is a non factor. What you’re seeing is the carrier agent as the nutrients are coated on to it during the manufacturing process. It may or may not dissolve immediately.
