Let’s talk. No, in fact, let’s have a conversation. It doesn’t have to be heavy, mind you; maybe a little chit chat at first so we get to know each other, then we can see where things take us. After all, what better time than now? We have that big election coming and there are plenty of disagreements afoot about all kinds of subjects. Socialism or capitalism; choice or life; church or state; boys, girls or whatever; Dodgers or Giants… Wouldn’t some talking and listening and sharing be good right about now?
Podcasts. You’ve heard about them. You know about them, right? Yes? Maybe? Not sure?
If not, “podcasts” are simply recorded audio broadcasts produced and distributed by individuals, publishers, and media companies that are available whenever you want them, on an “on demand” basis. They can be found on the internet, on your computer or smartphone, at sites like iHeart Radio, Apple iTunes, Sticher.com, RadioPublic.com, Soundcloud.com, and many other podcast-hosting sites, as well as specific podcast sites like our own TheTalkPod.com. Certain age groups might think of podcasts as the millennial version of sitting next to the family radio, listening to one of FDR’s “fireside chats.”
So, back to us having a conversation; as I mentioned, ALIVE produces a podcast called The Talk Pod, which I invite you to check out. You can hear our podcasts on all of the platforms I mentioned—Stitcher.com , RadioPublic.com, etc., as well as directly on our own podcast website at TheTalkPod.com.
And besides listening, I am “throwing the doors wide open,” and would love to hear from you! Perhaps you would like to express or share something yourself, or maybe you’d like to recommend someone that you’d like us to interview in a podcast. We can arrange in-person interviews and individual podcasts right here in our Alamo studio, as well as remote, phone-in interviews. While I can’t guarantee that we’ll record every request, we will consider them. And no, you don’t have to agree with ALIVE’s point-of-view, as we’d like to hear differing opinions. Our only rules are: we keep it civil, and no foul language, as we welcome listeners of all ages.
So, please get in touch with me at eric@thetalkpod.com or eric@aliveeastbay.com, if you have something to share or express.
Let’s start that conversation!
